What are the different types of threaded inserts? < Insert, Helisate Helical Coil>
Thread inserts are divided into different types according to application, base material , thread length, insertion method, etc.
・ OSG inserts, insertion tools, and extraction tools
・Use : Free Rock
In the lock type, part of the screw insert is polygonal, and it is tightened when the bolt is inserted to prevent pull out . When using a lock-type screw insert, an insertion tool for the lock-type insert is also required. Free is the normal type of bolt without the anti- pull out effect.
・ base material
In general, stainless steel is used. For areas where you want to avoid magnetism, use phosphor bronze.
• Thread length
The notation on the insert side indicates the length after insertion. There are also different types of inserts, so please use the one according to the thread length in the drawing instructions.
・Differences in insertion methods

The E-Cert is a flexible threaded bushing with a coil on a spring. Strong internal thread is obtained by absorbing the lead and angle errors of external thread and internal thread and distributing the stress. After insertion is complete, remove with a tongue folding tool.
Tangless inserts
This is a threaded insert manufactured by Accurate Co., Ltd.
Tangless inserts, like regular tongued inserts, provide the strength and durability of threads. As the name suggests, it is a type without a tongue, so there is no need to fold the tongue. Since there is no need to take out the tongue during the tongue folding work, it is possible to shorten the work time.
In addition, there is no directionality of the insert, and it can be inserted from either side. The time required to check the direction can be shortened.
