The S-XPF does not have a short chamfer type of chamfer 1P.
The same grooveless Tap series, the A-XPF is available in the chamfer 1P lineup.

The S-XPF is a grooveless Tap that reduces processing torque and heat generation, and enables rolling of high-hardness materials up to 35 HRC.
With a rich lineup from M1 to M45, we can handle large parts such as heavy machinery and industrial machinery that were difficult to roll in the past.
The "OIL-S-XPF" with oil holes is also capable of misting (MQL)
XPF, which has low torque and low heat generation, can be used for rolling large-diameter, high-hardness materials.
It is also effective for high-speed, long- tool life and high-grade machining.
Compared to conventional forming tap , it can reduce the formation of burrs.

Compared to conventional NRTs, the S-XPF is a grooveless Tap that can be processed with lower torque and lower heat generation.
It is suitable for high-hardness materials up to 35HRC and large-diameter forming tap such as M45.
The oil-S-XPF with oil hole is capable of mist (MQL) processing.
It can also handle high-speed machining with cutting speeds exceeding 30 m/min. Not only efficiency but also durability can be improved.

The P and B shown on the Tap shank represent the chamfer length of the forming tap .
The P (plug) is 4 pitches long for through hole , and the B (bottom) is 2 pitches long for the stop hole.

forming tap makes the Pilot hole bigger as it grows.
Since the RH number is +0.013mm for every 1 increase,
In the case of STD+3, STD+0.039mm is a guide.
For that reason, please try it from a larger size and adjust it while checking the actual finish.

Should the cutting data of the S-XPF be used at the same level as the conventional forming tap ?
For materials other than stainless steel, it can be used almost twice as fast as conventional products.

Use of S-XPF in stainless steel
For use on stainless steel, it is recommended to use an insoluble cutting fluid or a water-soluble cutting fluid with good lubricity.
