Helical machining refers to processing that uses planetary motion by the X, Y, and Z three-axis simultaneous control function.

On the mechanical and equipment side, a helical interpolation function is required.

Even with small machining centers and workpiece geometries with poor rigidity, the machining load can be adjusted, and holes larger than the tool diameter of the end mill can be machined.

Similarly, there is a tool called a thread mill that uses helical movements to machine screws.
