Is there a gauge of wear plugs for PT tube tapering gauge ?
There is a description in JIS (JIS B 0262) that the tapering gauge for PT pipes uses a plug gauge when new, and comprehensively inspects the effective diameter, pitch, and half angle of the mountain from the deviation of the end face of the small diameter.
Only in the case of a set of plugs and rings, the PT tube tapering gauge can be used as a guide for wear inspection if the end face deviation is less than 1/4P using the "Plug gauge of the set".
The plug and ring set is suitable for use because the end faces are face-to-face.
However, if you want to use it as a wear inspection, do not use the plug gauge of the set normally, but use it only for wear inspection.
* Since the wear limit of the gauge of the thread symbol PT is not specified in JIS, it conforms to the gauge of the thread symbol R.
* The pass/fail judgment within 1/4P is outside the JIS standard and is an OSG standard.
Therefore, please consider using it in combination with the calibration method based on JIS (four-needle method in the case of tapered plugs for pipes gauge ) or after confirming the operation with the other party.
If it is not a set product, it will be a special product (PTW).
