What is a PF screw?
It is a screw commonly called a parallel screw for JIS (English type) pipes, and it is a parallel screw for mechanical coupling of the old JIS standard. (JIS B 0202)
・Both the external and female threads are referred to as PF.
・It is the PF thread that fits into the PF female thread.
・Thread angle is 55 degrees
・The name is expressed in inches, and the pitch is expressed in the number of mountains between 25.4mm. (e.g. PF1/2-14, PF3/8-19)
・The tolerance is different from PS, the male thread is on the negative side, the female thread is on the positive side, and there is no gap tolerance.

Thread Machining Tools & Thread Gauges
・Thread processing tools (threading round dies and taps) for PF can be shared with the current JIS parallel screws G (male threads and internal threads) for pipes.
・The gauge cannot be shared with the current JIS parallel screw G for pipes because the thread standard tolerance is different.
