What is an RP thread?
It is a thread commonly called a parallel thread for JIS (ISO) pipes, and it is a parallel internal thread for tight coupling. (JIS B 0203)
Rp is a thread symbol used only for internal threads.
・The thread that fits into the Rp is a tapered screw for R (ISO) pipes.
・Thread angle is 55 degrees
・The name is expressed in inches, and the pitch is expressed in the number of mountains between 25.4mm. (e.g. Rp1/2-14, Rp3/8-19)
Thread machining tools (taps and thread mills) and thread gauges
・To inspect the Rp internal thread, use an R (tapered thread) screw plug gauge according to the shape of the thread that fits together.
・Thread processing tools (taps and thread mills) can be shared with the parallel screw PS for pipes of the former JIS.
・The gauge cannot be shared with the PT gauge for PS. (Due to the different tolerances of the gauge standard)

use
・The main purpose of connecting pipes is to make the threaded part tight and resistant
