answer
Wear Inspection Screw Ring Gauge is a gauge that allows you to check whether the plug gauge is worn or not.

The diameter of the plug gauge decreases as it wears out over time.
If the diameter becomes too small due to wear, the plug gauge will not be able to make the correct decision.

The wear inspection screw ring gauge is a ring gauge that checks whether the effective diameter of the limit plug gauge for screws is within the tolerance range including the wear allowance.

* Originally, the plug gauge is calibrated by the three-needle method, so there is no standard for wear inspection ring gauge in JIS. It is an OSG original. Please refer to the link below for the method of pass/fail judgment. Please note that the method is different between ISO and conventional JIS.

Checking whether the gauge is too worn is called calibration.

It is common to ask a calibration agency such as OSG.

[Problems with plug gauge calibration]

・ You can't use the gauge while requesting a calibration agency
・ Three-needle measurement is difficult and difficult to manage in-house.
・ With regular proofreading, it is difficult to retroactively investigate when it became NG if it became NG.

What is OSG Original?

In the conventional JIS and ISO standards, there is no wear margin for the gauge. NOT-GO NOT-GO Originally, plug gauges are calibrated by the three-needle method, so there is no standard for wear inspection ring gauges. This is a numerical value set by OSG for the purpose of determining whether the limit plug gauge for screws is within tolerance. Therefore, please consider using it in combination with the calibration method based on JIS (three-needle method in the case of a plug gauge) or after confirming the operation with the other party.
