There are three ways to do this:
(1) Measurement by the three-needle method
JIS B0271
(2) Calibration
(3) Judgment by wear inspection ring gauge
The wear inspection screw ring gauge is a ring gauge that checks whether the effective diameter of the limit plug gauge for screws is within the tolerance range including the wear allowance.
* Originally, the plug gauge is calibrated by the three-needle method, so there is no standard for wear inspection ring gauge in JIS. It is an OSG original.
In the conventional JIS and ISO standards, there is no wear margin for the gauge. (Conventional JIS NOT-GO , ISO NOT-GO , etc.)
Originally, the plug gauge is calibrated by the three-needle method, so there is no standard for wear inspection ring gauges. This is a numerical value set by OSG for the purpose of determining whether the limit plug gauge for screws is within tolerance.
Therefore, please consider using it in combination with the calibration method based on JIS (three-needle method in the case of a plug gauge) or after confirming the operation with the other party.
