What are the tools for breakage Tap removal?
Breakage Tap Refers to the drill "EX-H-DRL" for removal. This drill breaks the core of the broken Tap and removes the Tap . Use a drill diameter that is adapted to the shape and size. This drill is used in machining centers. The standard cutting speed is 20~25m/min, and the feed rate is different from normal drilling, and it is performed by manual feeding operation.
Breakage Tap Drilling Working Procedure
(1) Fix the drill and workpiece firmly, and place the drill in the center of the damaged Tap . If the head of the Tap is protruding upwards, flatten the fracture surface with a grinder to make it easier to center out.
centering Do not lubricate, but manually feed the food. If you use a larger size than the "EX-H-DRL" used in the next step, you can process more smoothly.
Select the appropriate drill size by referring to the usage categories in the table. Drilling is done by manual feeding operation in the same way as in the centering process. Pay special attention to the pull out of the drill. Also, stop from time to time and carefully remove chips. Use a good quality cutting fluid.
Once the hole has been drilled in the Tap , the remnants of the surrounding Tap can be easily removed with a cutting needle. Then, by re-tapping, it is completed as a product.
caution
EX-H-DRL cannot be used to remove carbide Tap or forming tap }}. It can also not be used to remove broken drills or bolts. If the Tap is processed with aluminum, it may damage the workpiece material. If the screw is damaged, consider repairing the screw with a screw insert.
