What is a keyway end mill?
Since there is a "keyway standard" defined by JIS for keyways, it is recommended that you check the width and depth of the keyway before machining before selecting a tool.
OSG has dedicated end mills for keyway processing in high-speed (EKD), coated high-speed (TIN, V) and carbide (MG).
Features of Keyway Tool EKD
(1) Tool blade diameter tolerance can be selected
OH1: 0～+0.02ｍｍ
OL1: 0～-0.02ｍｍ
OL2: -0.02～-0.04ｍｍ
OL3: -0.04～-0.06ｍｍ
(2) low helix Suppresses the amount of decay due to its shape
