What kind of tap is Synchro Tap?
A synchro tap is a tap dedicated to a machine (also called synchronous, rigid, or direct) equipped with a complete lead feed mechanism that can accurately send one lead per revolution.
General-purpose taps have a margin on the outer periphery to ensure "self-guidance" during processing by the tap itself.
With a synchro tap, you don't have to focus on that, so there is a large escape from the cutting edge.
Cutting data can also be increased due to the reduced contact with the internal thread and lower resistance.
Please avoid using the synchro tap on a machine that does not have a complete lead feed mechanism, as it will result in poor internal thread enlargement.
The A-tap can also be used with or without a full lead feed mechanism.
