answer
BSP is a standard for British (BS) pipe (P) threads and is classified into the following three types.

Since the screw shape and dimensions are the same as ISO and conventional JIS pipe screws, tools such as taps and dies in parentheses can be shared.

However, gauges cannot be shared because of different standards, and a dedicated gauge for BSP is required.

[BSP.Tr*1] Tapered screws for tight coupling (R, Rc, PT)
【BSP.Pl*2】Parallel internal thread (rp・PS)
【BSP.F*3】Parallel screws for mechanical coupling (G・PF)

For example, G and PF taps and dies can be used for BSP.F threads. The gauge must be a BSP.F dedicated gauge.

*1 BSPT for BSP.Tr, *2 BSPP for BSP.Pl, *3 BSP. F is sometimes referred to as BSPF. Officially, it is the above.
