What are OH1 and OL1? What is the blade diameter tolerance of an end mill?
In OSG end mills, the symbols "OH~" and "OL~" indicate the blade diameter tolerance.
* The ~ part of "OH~" and "OL~" contains a number to indicate the default tolerance.
OH1・・・0 ~ +0.02
OL1 ・・・-0.02 ~ 0
OL2 ・・・-0.04 ~ -0.02
OL3 ・・・-0.06 ~ -0.04
As an example, in the end mill called EKD, an end mill for two-blade keyways,
In EKD φ6 OH1, it means that the blade diameter is between 6.00~6.02.
In EKD φ6 OL1, it means that the blade diameter is between 5.98~6.00.
This blade diameter tolerance is selected according to the drawing accuracy required by the machining user.
