It is preferable to secure a margin of at least 1.5P for the threadmill Pilot hole , including the margin, but if it is confirmed that the risk of tool interference and chip failure can be avoided, it is possible to use about 1P by creating a program at your own risk. (It does not support the creation of programs as OSG.)
However, if there is a length between the insert and the tip of the holder, such as the AT-2 with a rough blade pile or the single point of the indexable type thread mill, a margin of Pilot hole is required.
